I am Chris, and I founded Ricky Roo & Friends Puppet Shows. Amina and I are teachers and have worked with kids of all ages for many years. We love kids as they are and pride ourselves on understanding them very well and knowing what they think is silly and fun! Thousands of hours of experience working with children gives us all the mighty powers to give your kids the best time and make them laugh and giggle.
This is me, Chris, and I am the founder of Ricky Roo & Friends Puppet Shows. I am a Stay-At-Home Dad also a preschool teacher in Berkeley, CA. I started doing puppet shows in my classroom curriculum many years ago. I quickly fell in love with the open-ended nature of puppetry! It engages and connects people with simple truths. While it sparked my student’s imaginations, it also sparked mine. I began spending my free time dreaming up new worlds, characters, and stories.
Hi, Amina here. A little about me, I am a mother of 3, an artist, and a second-grade teacher at Riverside Elementary School here in the Bay Area. I have had a long love of puppetry, I even studied and performed puppetry at college! I love that puppetry has magic to it, turning storytelling into play. I love performing Ricky Roo shows because we put your child into the adventure, and they find that mesmerizing. Seeing themselves as characters cultivates an understanding of self, the diverse points of view other characters have, and how we can laugh at this wild ride of life. Bringing that to your child’s special birthday party gives me great joy.
