Hi, I’m Chris, the founder of Ricky Roo & Friends Puppet Shows. I used to be a preschool teacher in Berkeley, CA, and now I work as an after-school enrichment teacher—and a proud stay-at-home dad! My journey into puppetry began in the classroom, where I introduced puppet shows as part of my curriculum. I quickly fell in love with the magic of puppetry—its ability to connect, inspire, and spark imagination. While it captivated my students, it also lit a creative fire in me. Soon, I found myself dreaming up silly characters, fun stories, and whole new worlds to share with kids everywhere.
Hi, Amina here. A little about me, I am a mother of 3, an artist, and a second-grade teacher at Riverside Elementary School here in the Bay Area. I have had a long love of puppetry, I even studied and performed puppetry at college! I love that puppetry has magic to it, turning storytelling into play. I love performing Ricky Roo shows because we put your child into the adventure, and they find that mesmerizing. Seeing themselves as characters cultivates an understanding of self, the diverse points of view other characters have, and how we can laugh at this wild ride of life. Bringing that to your child’s special birthday party gives me great joy.
Hi, I’m Allison! I’ve been working as a professional entertainer and clown for many years, and it’s truly my passion to bring laughter, magic, and joy to children and families. Whether I’m making silly faces, leading games, or helping a puppet come to life, I love creating moments that kids will remember forever. Being part of the Ricky Roo & Friends team has been such a fun and fulfilling experience—there’s nothing better than hearing giggles and seeing smiles all around!
Hi, I’m Denise! Alongside performing with Ricky Roo & Friends, I work as a forest preschool teacher, where I guide young children through playful learning in nature. I’m passionate about sparking imagination, curiosity, and joy—whether it’s under the trees or on the puppet stage. Being part of the Ricky Roo & Friends team lets me bring that same wonder and laughter to birthday parties and events, and I absolutely love seeing kids light up with excitement and giggles!
